5 Tips for Wedding Dress Shopping

I few weeks ago I finally purchased my wedding dress. I had been dreaming about my wedding dress since I was a little girl. To finally get to step into a dress and know that I'll be walking down the aisle in it was so exhilarating. I didn't want to take it off! I thought I'd share a few of the tips I learned both before I went shopping and from the experience I had there.

1. Have an Idea of What You Want
This sounds like an obvious one, but make sure you have some kind of idea before you go in. There are tons of dresses to look through and it can be a bit overwhelming at first. If you have an idea of what color, style, or even neckline you want it will help narrow the selection down and not seem as scary.

2. Be Open Minded
This kind of contradicts knowing what you want, but I think it's very important to be willing to try something you didn't think you'd want. Who knows, you may love the feel of a ball gown once you put it on.

3. Wear Good Undies
Try to wear something similar to what the big day would be. A strapless, white bra and a white underwear is a good choice for any dress.

4. Speak Up
This was my biggest problem when I tried on dresses. You'll hear a lot of suggestions from the people you brought with you as well as the bridal consultants. This is your day and you want to make sure you absolutely love what you're getting. Although your friend's and family's opinions do matter, don't let them change how you feel and what you want. The most important thing will be your opinion, not theirs.

5. Take a Deep Breath
Like I said before, wedding dress shopping is an exciting and important event.. Remember to take a deep breath and enjoy the process. You'll only get this experience once

I hope you find these tips helpful and no matter what, y'all will look gorgeous in your dresses!
