Weeks 20 to 28 Bumpdate

Wow it's been a long time since I've done a baby update! Blame my body's constant need to get sick. As a result we've got 8 weeks to catch up on!
We had another bad couple of weeks of sickness. Week 26-28 I couldn't keep ANYTHING down; not even water. I lost about 14 lbs because of it and was stuck in bed constantly vomiting the whole time.
It got so bad we had to go to the ER for fluids. They monitored the baby and hydrated me up. It was my first experience with an IV so that was a bit scary. Honestly, it hurt way less than I thought it would. The anti-nausea shot they gave me hurt more.
. . .
How far along? 28 Weeks & 4 Days
Total weight gain: Oh boy. So we are now down 30 lbs from my pre-pregnancy weight. Yup that's right, I've LOST 30 lbs. Thanks hyperemesis gravidarum.
Maternity clothes? Nope :)
Stretch marks? I don't think so. There's tiny ones on my hips, but I think they might've already been there.
Sleep: My sleep schedule is all over the place. Some days I can't go to sleep until really late. Others I'm exhausted by the time the sun's down.
Best moment: Finding out her gender and feeling her move A LOT more.
Miss anything? Still missing the days where I was nausea and heartburn free.
Movement: So much. It's reached the point where my whole belly shifts when she moves. I love it!
Food cravings: I was on a cottage cheese & fruit phase for a little bit. That's all I wanted each morning.
Anything making you queasy or sick: At this point let's just accept that I'm gonna deal with sickness this whole pregnancy.
Gender: Girl!!
Labor signs: Nope
Symptoms:Heartburn, Heartburn, Heartburn. Oh and my back/legs are starting to feel achey as she gets bigger.
Belly button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off?  On
Happy or moody most of the time: Happy :)
Looking forward to: The 3rd Trimester
. . .
I wish I had documented this entire pregnancy better to be honest. It feels like we're so close to being done yet I haven't documented much of anything. That's one of the worst parts of dealing with hyperemesis gravidarum(basically means super pregnancy sickness); I can't enjoy my pregnancy as much as I wish I could've. I'm praying though that last week's relapse was the last and these next 12 weeks I'll get to document and enjoy to my heart's content.

xo,
